My name is Mark Stilwell, General Contractor (CCB 204226) with Home Improvement Experts in Eugene, Oregon. I’m here to fulfill your residential dreams and desires in a professional, affordable, and excellent way. All of my exterior painting bids include pressure washing, so let’s talk about it.
First of all, here are a few examples of pressure washing I’ve done:
A few things to consider:
PRESSURE IS POWERFUL
Using the right tip and the right distance will ensure that your materials won’t be chewed up and damaged by the water pressure.
Depending on your needs, chemicals (or non-toxic alternatives) can be used in conjunction with a pressure washer. For example, spraying on a little bleach and TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) will help remove slime and grime, which is especially common here in Eugene due to the rainy weather. But TSP substitute is also a good choice, as it will do the work of TSP without being as environmentally harsh.
PREPPING A DECK OR FENCE:
Before applying new solid-color stain to your deck, it’s important that it is first pressure washed. All that gray color in your wood is actually dirt and other soils that have absorbed into the pores of the wood. By removing that soil, your new solid-color stain will be able to penetrate to a greater degree, thus improving it’s adhesion and durability.
